In case you missed our Thanksgiving newsletter, here are some tips for Florida Attorneys to survive holiday parties and events with family and friends. (We also added a few more!)
- When your family members and friends ask you for legal advice, retort by asking them when they are going to pay you to draft their estate plan.
- Have Cease and Desist letters ready for the gravy-hog.
- Remind your family members that the text they sent saying they were going to bring homemade pumpkin pie may be considered a legally binding contract. Buying it from the store is a breach of that contract!
- If the kids complain about their presents, that is a good time to explain to them how bankruptcy works.
- Divorce attorneys: don’t hand out your business cards to newly engaged couples.
- Remind the snarky teenagers that you practice probate.
In all seriousness, though, we wish you and yours the Happiest of Holidays!
