Annual Reports can begin to be filed on JANUARY 1, 2024!
Failure to file these reports by May 1, 2024, will result in a $400 penalty!
If you are a Florida Attorney, the following entities may need your assistance with filing annual reports (or at the very least may need a reminder that they are due):
- Business entities you created this year;
- Businesses for whom you are the registered agent;
- Businesses you represented this year in litigation or transactional matters.
This is a great opportunity to check in with the clients you represent and generate some repeat business! It also shows that you care and are looking out for your clients!
Annual Reports are also the best time to change addresses, add or remove members, or change the entity’s registered agent. If your clients fail to make these changes when filing the annual report, they will incur additional fees.
Attorney Services’ virtual paralegals can assist Florida Attorneys with reaching out to clients to see if they need assistance with annual reports, tracking and managing the list of clients who have responded, and assistance with filing the actual report.
Additionally, our virtual corporate paralegals can assist Florida Corporate Attorneys with various tasks throughout the year such as assisting with:
- Entity formations, including preparing formation documents and managing the registration process;
- Assisting with corporate governance matters, including preparing and maintaining corporate records and managing filings with various government agencies;
- Assisting with the preparation of various transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and other legal documents;
- Providing support in managing legal aspects of construction projects, including reviewing contracts and assisting in dispute resolution;
- Conducting legal research;
- And much more.
