Responding to Requests
Attorney Services’ virtual paralegals can help with every step of the process of responding to discovery requests from the other side.
For example, we can take responsibility for drafting appropriate transmittal letters, with instructions, to the clients for them to provide documents and information necessary to draft the responses to the discovery requests. We can also make ourselves available to answer any questions the client may have in order to complete the requests or to relay information regarding same to the attorney as needed. When necessary, we can even meet with the client on the phone or via video chat to walk them through the questions and appropriate responses.
From there, the virtual paralegal can take responsibility for preparing the initial draft discovery responses for review by the attorney. We will clean up the client’s responses to make them more professional, as necessary, as well as assist in determining which documents and information are responsive to which requests. During this process, we can assist noting any requests that may be objectionable and preparing an initial draft of objections and responses for the attorney to review and finalize.
Working with a virtual paralegal will help to ensure that the answers and responses are as complete and responsive as possible. We can also assist with filing the responses and serving them on opposing counsel. (Remembering to only file the Notice of Service of Interrogatories and to serve the actual responses via email, for example.)
